Seasonal Dynamics of Community and Function of Gut Microbiome in Taihangshan Macaque (Macaca mulatta tcheliensis): Inferred From Metagenomic Data

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
A total of 435 non‐redundant metagenome‐assembled genomes (MAGs) were obtained from fecal samples of Taihangshan macaque across all four seasons. The alpha diversity of the gut microbiome in spring and winter was significantly higher than in summer and autumn. Furthermore, marked differences were detected in functional pathways and carbohydrate enzymes

Longitudinal Follow‐Up of Gut and Salivary Microbiota in Children With Food Protein‐Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study aimed to compare both the gut and salivary microbiota over time between allergic and tolerant patients and matched controls. Allergic patients with food protein‐induced enterocolitis syndrome exhibited lower gut and salivary alpha‐diversities, several genus‐level differences, and higher acetate levels than controls.

Treatment Dose Increase Versus Co‐Medication in Allergic Rhinitis: Systematic Review With Dose–Response Network Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background To achieve adequate symptom control, patients with allergic rhinitis (AR) often need to increase their medication dose or add other treatments (co‐medication). We aimed to perform a systematic review to compare the efficacy and safety of AR medications for increased dose versus co‐medication.

Surgical Management of Non‐Allergic Rhinitis—An EAACI Task Force Position Paper

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Non‐allergic rhinitis is a frequent yet underdiagnosed cause of chronic nasal symptoms, including nasal congestion, rhinorrhoea, and upper airway hyperreactivity. Its pathophysiology involves neurogenic dysregulation, leading to excessive mucus production and vasodilation.

Diet–Microbiome–Immune Interactions at the Gut Mucosa in Food Allergy: Mechanisms, Gaps, and Therapeutic Implications

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Mucosal surfaces are sites of highly dynamic interactions among epithelial and immune cells, environmental exposures, particularly dietary inputs, and the diverse microbial communities and their metabolites. These elements continually influence each other to maintain homeostasis and ensure appropriate immune discrimination between pathogens ...
