Morphology and morphometry of the human embryonic brain: A three-dimensional analysis. [PDF]
The three-dimensional dynamics and morphology of the human embryonic brain have not been previously analyzed using modern imaging techniques. The morphogenesis of the cerebral vesicles and ventricles was analyzed using images derived from human embryo ...

A developmentally guided protocol reproducibly specifies EN1‐positive ventral midbrain dopaminergic (vmDA) progenitors from human pluripotent stem cells and yields functional vmDA neurons. Optogenetic induction of α‐synuclein aggregation elicits selective degeneration of TH‐positive neurons in 2D cultures and 3D neurospheroids, while transplanted ...

Composition‐Aware Cross‐Sectional Integration for Spatial Transcriptomics
Multi‐section spatial transcriptomics demands coherent cell‐type deconvolution, domain detection, and batch correction, yet existing pipelines treat these tasks separately. FUSION unifies them within a composition‐aware latent framework, modeling reads as cell‐type–specific topics and clustering in embedding space.

ViTAMIn‐O: Democratizing Computer Vision‐Based Machine Learning for Stem Cell Research
This study introduces a fully open generalist computer vision model for predicting the differentiation outcomes of stem cell‐based model systems, together with its code‐free deployment platform, ColabViTAMIn‐O. It is benchmarked against various architectures, datasets, and training protocols.

Expanding the Phenotypic Spectrum of TXNDC15‐Related Ciliopathies to Include Joubert Syndrome
ABSTRACT Biallelic loss‐of‐function variants in TXNDC15 are a known cause of the perinatally lethal ciliopathy Meckel syndrome (MKS). TXNDC15 encodes an endoplasmic reticulum (ER)‐resident thioredoxin‐domain protein required for ciliary transition zone integrity.

The inhibitory neurotransmitter γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is known to exert various neurotrophic actions in the developing nervous system, but little is known about its distribution in the central nervous system during early development. We have studied

Biallelic PAX6 Variants in an Adult With Severe Microphthalmia and Preserved Intellectual Function
ABSTRACT PAX6 encodes a dosage‐sensitive transcription factor that is essential for eye development. Heterozygous PAX6 disease is well characterized, but biallelic disease is extremely rare and has been associated with anophthalmia, severe brain malformations, and perinatal lethality.

Meticulous calculation of zebrafish‐equivalent therapeutic valproic acid (VPA) dosage maximized the translational value of the data. Hyposerotonergic tone underpinned an anxiety‐like outcome as a core symptom of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Compartment‐specific dopaminergic and serotonergic dysregulation in the brain versus gut provided mechanistic ...
