DNA‐PKcs‐Driven YAP1 Phosphorylation and Nuclear Translocation: a Key Regulator of Ferroptosis in Hyperglycemia‐Induced Cardiac Dysfunction in Type 1 Diabetes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In the context of chronic hyperglycemia, a DDR is initiated, leading to the pathological activation of DNA‐PKcs in the diabetic heart. This activated DNA‐PKcs directly interacts with and phosphorylates YAP1 at Thr226, thereby increasing the nuclear expression of YAP1.

Expression profiles of interferon‐stimulated gene 15 and prostaglandin synthases in the ovine lymph nodes during early pregnancy

open access: yesMolecular Reproduction and Development, 2018
Lymph nodes are distributed all over the body and are part of the lymphatic system. The interferon‐stimulated gene 15 kDa protein (ISG15) and prostaglandins (PGs) are involved in the establishment of pregnancy and are expressed in the uterus during early

The Role of PPARgamma in the Cyclooxygenase Pathway in Lung Cancer. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Decreased expression of peroxisome proliferator activated receptor-gamma (PPARgamma) and high levels of the proinflammatory enzyme cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) have been observed in many tumor types.

The molecular pharmacology and in vivo activity of 2-(4-chloro-6-(2,3-dimethylphenylamino)pyrimidin-2-ylthio)octanoic acid (YS121), a dual inhibitor of microsomal prostaglandin E2 synthase-1 and 5-lipoxygenase. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The microsomal prostaglandin E2 synthase (mPGES)-1 is one of the terminal isoenzymes of prostaglandin (PG) E2 biosynthesis. Pharmacological inhibitors of mPGES-1 are proposed as an alternative to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Changes in the expression of prostaglandin E and F synthases at induced and spontaneous labour onset in the sheep.

open access: yesJournal of Endocrinology, 2004
The differential production of prostaglandin (PG) F(2 alpha) and PGE(2) within the uterine compartment may play a role in controlling myometrial contraction. We hypothesized that the enzymes downstream of PG endoperoxide synthase-2 (PGHS-2) determine the

Coactosin‐Like Protein Reduces Prostaglandin D2 Production in Alveolar Macrophages and Alleviates Allergic Airway Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Coactosin‐like protein inhibits prostaglandin D₂ (PGD2) secretion by modulating alveolar macrophage polarization, thereby suppressing activation of the PGD2 receptor CRTH2 in Th2‐associated immune cells and alleviating allergic airway inflammation.

Bionic Nanostructures Create Mechanical Signals to Mediate the Composite Structural Bone Regeneration Through Multi‐System Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by the structural and functional characteristics of bone, bionic nanomaterials combined with nanotechnology can more accurately replicate stem cell niches, enabling the design of bone tissue engineering scaffolds with diverse nanoscale properties to promote stem cell migration, proliferation, and differentiation. This precise control over stem

Effect of oleic acid supplementation on prostaglandin production in maternal endometrial and fetal allantochorion cells isolated from late gestation ewes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Elevated circulating non-esterified fatty acids including oleic acid (OA) are associated with many pregnancy related complications. Prostaglandins (PGs) play crucial roles during parturition.
