Dynamics of prostaglandin E2 in the surgical treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease

open access: yesPatologìâ, 2023
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is one of the most common gastroenterological diseases. Therefore, the issues of diagnosis and the most effective treatment of GERD are extremely relevant.

Prostaglandin E2 synthases.

open access: yesFolia Pharmacologica Japonica, 2002
Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) is widely distributed in various tissues, and exhibits various biologically important activities. PGE2 synthase (PGES) catalyzes conversion of COX-derived PGH2 to PGE2. It now appears that there are at least three distinct types of PGES in mammals. We identified two distinct glutathione-dependent PGESs.

Is there a difference in labor patterns after induction with prostaglandins and double-balloon catheters?AJOG Global Reports at a Glance

open access: yesAJOG Global Reports, 2023
BACKGROUND: Labor progression curves are believed to differ between spontaneous and induced labors. However, data describing labor progression patterns with different modes of induction are insufficient.

Relationships between prostaglandin concentrations, a single nucleotide polymorphism in HSD17B12, and reproductive performance in dairy cows

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 2022
: Prostaglandins are involved in multiple processes important for fertility, with previous work in mice highlighting a potential role for the HSD17B12 gene in prostaglandin biosynthesis.

Impact of Different Doses of Nicorandil-Induced Ulceration (Oral , Gastrointestinal Tract, and Anal) in Rats: Roles of Leptin and Prostaglandin E2

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2017
Many reports confirm ulcers as an adverse effect of drugs such as nicorandil and aspirin. The exact responsible mechanisms of ulceration have until now not proved.
