Correlation of hepatitis C and prostate cancer, inverse correlation of basal cell hyperplasia or prostatitis and epidemic syphilis of unknown duration

open access: yesInternational Brazilian Journal of Urology, 2011
PURPOSE: The accuracy of prostate specific antigen (PSA) to detect prostate cancer has not yet been determined. Autopsy evidence suggests one-third of men have evidence of prostate cancer.

Molecular expression and immunotherapeutic potential of the novel tumour associated antigen T21

open access: yes, 2013
The application of immunotherapeutic approaches to target tumour cells by harnessing the body’s most important defence the immune system, could provide opportunities to oppose cancer.

Role of Prostate Specific Antigen Density for the Prediction of Radical Therapy Requirement in Localized Prostate Cancer

open access: yes, 2016
Objective: Prostate specific antigen (PSA) PSA density (dPSA) is a PSA derivative used for increasing the accuracy of PSA. dPSA is calculated by dividing the prostate volume measured with transrectal ultrasonography by the total PSA value. In this study,

Androgen Receptor‐Induced Lactoferrin Accelerates Prostate Tumorigenesis Through Modulating Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that transcription factor androgen receptor (AR) directly binds the LF promoter, driving lactoferrin overexpression to promote ferritin (FTH1/FTL) upregulation and inhibit p53‐ALOX12‐mediated ferroptosis in prostate cancer. Lactoferrin could be a new potential therapeutic target in prostate cancer.

T Cell Exhaustion in Cancer Immunotherapy: Heterogeneity, Mechanisms, and Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
T cell exhaustion limits immunotherapy efficacy. This article delineates its progression from stem‐like to terminally exhausted states, governed by persistent antigen, transcription factors, epigenetics, and metabolism. It maps the exhaustion landscape in the TME and proposes integrated reversal strategies, providing a translational roadmap to overcome

An Implantable Scaffold Sequentially Releasing STING Agonist and B7‐H3 Antibody for Bone Metastasis Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed an implantable dual‐drug depot using GelMA for bone metastasis treatment, co‐delivering MSA‐2 and αB7‐H3‐loaded CaCO3 microparticles. Sustained release from GelMA scaffold enables MSA‐2 to activate STING signaling and enhance T‐cell infiltration and activation, while sequentially released αB7‐H3 blocks MSA‐2‐induced B7‐H3 upregulation ...

Impact of Cryoprobe Density on Hemigland Ablation Prostate-Specific Antigen Outcomes [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Urologic Oncology
Purpose Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) value interpretation following primary focal cryotherapy (PFC) for prostate cancer remains a challenge. The purpose of this study is to determine significance of cryoprobe density (CPD), defined as number of ...

Usefulness of Prostate-Specific Antigen Density as a Diagnostic Test of Prostate Cancer

open access: yesTumor Biology, 1996
To evaluate the diagnostic usefulness of prostate-specific antigen density (PSAD) in prostate cancer (PC) prostate-specific antigen (PSA) concentrations were measured in 175 patients with benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) and 50 patients with PC. Patients with BPH were classified according to the presence of complications of the disease: urinary ...
