Information Content of Protein Sequences
Journal of Theoretical Biology, 2000The complexity of large sets of non-redundant protein sequences is measured. This is done by estimating the Shannon entropy as well as applying compression algorithms to estimate the algorithmic complexity. The estimators are also applied to randomly generated surrogates of the protein data.

Hydroxyproline content of plasma proteins
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Protein Structure, 1972Abstract The human and animal plasmas contain 8–14 μg/ml protein-bound hydroxy-proline. It has been shown that highly purified commercial preparations of the plasma proteins contain hydroxyproline in amounts comparable to its contents in a total plasma. The plasma proteins were treated so as to separate any contamination.
