Plasma protein fraction

Transfusion, 1981
The vasodilative effects associated with the use of sodium acetate have been reported in the literature. Preparations of plasma protein fraction (PPF) substantially free of this vasodilator were developed. This paper presents and discusses experimental work on the improved product.

Fractionation and Analysis of Mycobacterial Proteins

2015
The extraction and isolation of native bacterial proteins continue to be valuable technical pursuits in order to understand bacterial physiology, screen for virulence determinants, and describe antigens. In this chapter, methods for the manipulation of whole mycobacterial cells are described in detail.

Fractionation of chromatin nonhistone proteins

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Protein Structure, 1973
Abstract A method for the isolation and fractionation of the nonhistone proteins of chromatin is described. The method utilizes a single ion exchange column, is simple and rapid in performance and can be scaled up to preparative levels of fractionation. 91–94% of chromatin proteins are dissociated with 7 M urea, 3 M NaCl, 1 mM β-mercaptoethanol and 0.

Fractionation of proteins with modified membranes.

Bioseparation, 1996
The fractionation of two proteins, either positively charged (Lysozyme) or negatively charged (bovine serum albumin, BSA) was investigated by varying the ionic strength with unmodified or positively charged inorganic ultrafiltration membranes. Chemical modification was obtained by coating of polyvinylimidazole which amine groups reacted further with ...

Plasma protein fractionation

Trends in Biotechnology, 1985
Abstract The fractionation of blood plasma yields a number of therapeutic proteins which together constitute a billion dollar world-wide market. Conventional plasma fractionation procedures are being replaced by more sophisticated chromatographic techniques.
