Protein synthesis with isolated mitochondrial polysomes

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1972
A technique has been described for the isolation of intact mitochondrial polysomes which are active in protein synthesis. Mitochondrial ribosomes, derived from the polysomes, are of 71S particles and have 32S and 50S subunits. These subunits can initiate protein synthesis using mitochondrial RNA as a template.

Relationship between Molecular Flexibility and Emulsifying Properties of Soy Protein Isolate-Glucose Conjugates.

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2019
At present, the structure-activity relationships of soy protein isolate are still not well understood. In this paper, the relationship between molecular flexibility and emulsifying properties of soy protein isolate and soy protein isolate-glucose ...

Improvement of the rheological and textural properties of calcium sulfate-induced soy protein isolate gels by the incorporation of different polysaccharides.

Food Chemistry, 2019
In this study, the effects of the addition of various polysaccharides (konjac gum, gellan gum, and curdlan gum) on the rheological and textural properties of calcium sulfate-induced soy protein isolate gels were investigated.

Immunological Technique for Protein Isolation

Science, 1960
Carefully coagulated antibody or antigen-antibody complexes may be used as specific adsorbents for antigen, and the antigen may be released subsequently by increasing the acidity. No cross adsorption appears to take place. The procedure may prove useful for the isolation of tissue-specific proteins (including those in disease states), toxins, or ...

Multipurpose peptide tags for protein isolation

Journal of Chromatography A, 2008
A multifunctional peptide tag (HYDHYD) consisting of histidine, tyrosine and aspartate residues was fused to the N-terminal ends of green fluorescent protein (GFP), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and human hemoglobin (Hb), proteins which were subjected to ion-exchange chromatography (IEC), aqueous two-phase system partition, immobilized metal-ion affinity

Quality characterization of gluten free noodles enriched with chickpea protein isolate

, 2020
Gluten free noodles were developed from rice flour with enhanced protein content through incorporation of protein isolate (2, 4, 6, 8, and 10%) from two germinated chickpea cultivars (GNG 1581 and GNG 469).

Isolation of recombinant proteins from milk

Journal of Cellular Biochemistry, 1992
AbstractMilk is a complex bio‐colloid which presents some unique problems for the protein isolation chemist, but the majority of the processing criteria for purifying recombinant proteins are the same as with any complex biological mixture. The casein micelles and fat globules behave as separate phases; they prevent filtration of the milk and interfere
