Inducing memory inflation (MI) is a promising future vaccination strategy. We show that spread‐defective cytomegalovirus does not induce MI in the absence of CD4+ T cells. Support from CD4+ T cells can drive effector differentiation of MI cells, even late in the response, and contributes to long‐term response maintenance. ABSTRACT Memory inflation (MI)

Critical domains for NACC2-NTRK2 fusion protein activation.
Neurotrophic receptor tyrosine kinases (NTRKs) belong to the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) family. NTRKs are responsible for the activation of multiple downstream signaling pathways that regulate cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, and ...

Nanobodies: A Promising Toolkit for Diagnostic Applications
This review focuses on camelid‐derived nanobodies (VHHs) and explains how their small size and high stability support robust diagnostic design. Applications across ELISA, lateral flow assays, and PET/SPECT imaging are summarized, along with clinical progress such as caplacizumab.

Immune Evasion of Helicobacter pylori and Extra‐Gastric Cancer Risk
ABSTRACT Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a group 1 gastric carcinogen that plays a significant role in extra‐gastric digestive system cancers. H. pylori disrupts host cell homeostasis through expression of virulence factors leading to immune evasion as well as persistent gastric mucosal colonization. H. pylori infection has been shown to play a role

Ischemic insult causes hyper‐glutamatergic signaling and neuronal death. The astrocytic transporter GLT‐1, which clears extracellular glutamate, is internalized and degraded in response to ischemia. We found that lysine‐directed post‐translational modifications (particularly ubiquitination) of the C‐terminal domain drive aberrant trafficking ...

Clathrin‐Mediated Endocytosis in Plants: Historical to Modern Advances
Ultrastructural studies by Bonnett and Newcomb in 1966 revealed the existence of coated vesicles budding from the plant cell plasma membrane. This review introduces this discovery and early questions regarding the biological significance of CME in plants highlighting advances in our understanding of the plant CME molecular machinery along with current ...

Coronavirus nucleocapsid proteins assemble constitutively in high molecular oligomers
Coronaviruses (CoV) are enveloped viruses and rely on their nucleocapsid N protein to incorporate the positive-stranded genomic RNA into the virions. CoV N proteins form oligomers but the mechanism and relevance underlying their multimerization remain to

Optical control over monomeric and multimeric protein hybrids [PDF]
Living materials are based on proteins that adapt and change in structure and function continuously when in use; cellular microtubules, ATP synthases and ribosomes are but a few examples. Breathing life into semi-synthetic materials would allow improved understanding over protein regulation and dynamics, and how their integration into complex systems ...
