Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Integrin-mediated cell adhesion triggers intracellular signaling cascades, including tyrosine phosphorylation of intracellular proteins. We show in this report that p120cbl (Cbl), the 120-kDa c-cbl proto-oncogene product, becomes tyrosine-phosphorylated ...

Decoding HiPSC-CM’s Response to SARS-CoV-2: mapping the molecular landscape of cardiac injury
Background Acute cardiac injury caused by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) increases mortality. Acute cardiac injury caused by COVID-19 requires understanding how severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) directly infects ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Synthesis of proto-oncogene proteins and cyclins depends on intact microfilaments
It is well established that microfilament disintegration by cytochalasin D (CD) as well as latrunculin (LAT)-A and LAT-B causes an inhibition of S phase entry of various nontransformed cell lines. Our experiments extended these observations to human embryonal diploid fibroblasts (Wi-38). To investigate the question whether this stop of DNA synthesis is
