Electrogeneicity of the lysosomal proton pump
Using acridine orange as a pH gradient probe, the effects of valinomycin and FCCP on the pH gradient across lysosomal membranes in an ATP‐free medium as well as on the rate of the inward ATP‐driven proton translocation were investigated. Both lysosome‐enriched and highly purified lysosomal preparations from rat liver were used with identical results ...

Gold‐stabilized copper suppresses hydroxide‐driven deactivation during anodic hydrogen evolution from furfural. Pairing this low‐potential anode with CO‐to‐ethylene electroreduction enables sub‐1 V operation at 400 mA cm−2, high single‐pass CO conversion, and co‐production of ethylene, furoic acid, and a separate hydrogen stream.

Surface‐Anchored Microgel‐Based Films as Anti‐Icing Coatings
The microgel‐based anti‐icing coatings presented in this work reduce ice adhesion by up to 90% on various substrates. This effect can be attributed to the incorporated functional cationic moieties binding a lubricating layer of quasi‐liquid interfacial water.
