Role and Efficacy of L-PRFmatrix in the Regeneration of Periodontal Defect: a New Perspective [PDF]
The ultimate goal of periodontal therapy is to achieve complete wound healing and regeneration of the periodontal unit. The therapeutic use of L-PRF matrix constitutes a relatively new biotechnology that has been a breakthrough in the acceleration of ...

PRP Augmentation for ACL Reconstruction [PDF]
Current research is investigating new methods to enhance tissue healing to speed up recovery time and decrease the risk of failure in Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstructive surgery. Biological augmentation is one of the most exploited strategies, in particular the application of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).

ABSTRACT Platelet transfusions to treat bleeding complications use donor‐derived platelets stored at room‐temperature, that have a shelf‐life of only 5–7 days due to bacterial contamination risks. Cold‐stored and freeze‐dried platelets are being investigated for extending shelf‐life, but these still have the inherent challenge of donor‐dependency.

Conformational Properties of β-PrP [PDF]
Prion propagation involves a conformational transition of the cellular form of prion protein (PrPC) to a disease-specific isomer (PrPSc), shifting from a predominantly alpha-helical conformation to one dominated by beta-sheet structure. This conformational transition is of critical importance in understanding the molecular basis for prion disease. Here,

Autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) in Infertility—Infusion versus Injectable PRP
(1) Background: During IVF (in vitro fertilization) procedures, endometrial thickness has a significant role in the success of pregnancy outcomes for embryo transfers. Endometrial thickness, a crucial component of endometrial receptivity, is a contentious issue.

ABSTRACT Blood‐based liquid biopsies hold transformative potential for non‐invasive cancer management, but current approaches relying on rare circulating tumor components limit their broad clinical utility. Platelets, abundant in blood and mediating diverse cancer‐associated responses, represent a compelling yet largely unexplored alternative.

A survey and a molecular dynamics study on the (central) hydrophobic region of prion proteins
Prion diseases are invariably fatal neurodegenerative diseases that affect humans and animals. Unlike most other amyloid forming neurodegenerative diseases, these can be highly infectious. Prion diseases occur in a variety of species.

The hydration behavior of C3S in seawater‐relevant solutions is studied based on experiments, boundary nucleation and growth (BNG) modeling, and machine learning. The main ions included in seawater modify hydration mechanisms, with MgCl2 showing the strongest acceleration effect at the same concentration.
