The new plum cultivar "Petra" was named and released by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia (confirmation No. 320-04-00840/2011-11; April 3, 2018). It was developed through planned hybridization, by crossing the "Stanley" and "Opal" cultivars.
