Modeling dose to normal brain following hypofractionated stereotactic radiotherapy to a single brain metastasis

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 27, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Background Brain metastases (BM) occur in at least 20% of people with an advanced solid malignancy and can lead to morbidity or mortality if not controlled. Hypofractionated stereotactic radiotherapy (HF‐SRT) may be preferred to single fraction stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) in certain clinical situations to improve the therapeutic ratio ...

Identification, Pathogenicity, and Reverse Genetics System Construction of a Pseudorabies Virus Isolate from Pigs in China

open access: yesVeterinary Sciences
Pseudorabies virus (PRV) is a highly contagious pathogen in swine that can cross species barriers and infect other mammals, including humans. Given the potential for interspecies transmission and its threat to public health, understanding the molecular ...

Automatic Distribution of PRVs for Leakage Reduction

open access: yesThe 3rd International Joint Conference on Water Distribution Systems Analysis & Computing and Control for the Water Industry (WDSA/CCWI 2024)
In this work, an automatic distribution of the pressure reduction valves (PRVs) is proposed. First, a well-calibrated hydraulic model is required. The model of Manresa, a city of Catalunya in the Mediterranean area, was calibrated using pressure sensors, and the background leakage was estimated using weighted emitter coefficients.

An automated method to establish patient specific asymmetric intrafraction motion monitoring tolerances for prostate radiotherapy

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 27, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Purpose Intrafraction motion management is recognized as a critical component of radiotherapy. While clinical trials often recommend its use, they rarely define motion management tolerances. Consequently, institutions set tolerance levels independently, often without considering patient specific anatomy, dose distributions or direction of ...

Immunological characteristics of a recombinant alphaherpesvirus with an envelope-embedded Cap protein of circovirus

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
IntroductionVariant pseudorabies virus (PRV) is a newly emerged zoonotic pathogen that can cause human blindness. PRV can take advantage of its large genome and multiple non-essential genes to construct recombinant attenuated vaccines carrying foreign ...

Dysphagia optimized knowledge‐based planning for head and neck cancer

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 27, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Purpose Swallowing dysfunction after radiotherapy (RT) is often linked to pharyngeal mucosal damage. This study aimed to develop a dysphagia‐optimized knowledge‐based planning (DO‐KBP) model by incorporating individual pharyngeal constrictors (DO‐KBP) into an existing model, which was based on a conventional approach of including pharynx as a ...

Development and immunogenicity evaluation of a quadruple-gene-deleted pseudorabies virus strain

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
Since 2011, the emergence of Pseudorabies virus (PRV) variants has led to significant vaccine failures, resulting in severe economic losses in China’s swine industry.

Unique decomposition of tensor products of irreducible representations of simple algebraic groups

open access: yes, 2003
We show that a tensor product of irreducible, finite dimensional representations of a simple Lie algebra over a field of characteristic zero, determines the individual constituents uniquely.
