Numerical Simulation of Flows Using the Fourier Pseudospectral Method and the Immersed Boundary Method

open access: yesAxioms
The present work proposes the application of a computational methodology based on the coupling of the Fourier Pseudospectral Method (FPSM) and the Immersed Boundary Method (IBM) for conducting flow simulations over slender airfoils.

A Survey: Energy Optimisation Approaches in Urban Rail Systems (AI‐Based and Non‐AI‐Based)

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This article presents a systematic review of energy optimisation strategies for urban rail systems, covering speed profile, timetable, regenerative braking, energy storage and power‐supply optimisation. We synthesise methodological trends and reported energy‐saving performance across AI‐based and non‐AI approaches.

Numerical bifurcation analysis of a class of nonlinear renewal equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2016
We show, by way of an example, that numerical bifurcation tools for ODE yield reliable bifurcation diagrams when applied to the pseudospectral approximation of a one-parameter family of nonlinear renewal equations.

Steady‐State Spread Bounds for Graph Diffusion via Laplacian Regularisation in Networked Systems

open access: yesIET Networks, Volume 15, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
We study how an engineered initial pattern on a fixed network blurs under linear diffusion and provide a steady‐state upper bound on the resulting deviation. The bound cleanly separates an unavoidable floor set by network connectivity and diffusion strength from a design‐controlled term that shrinks when the initial pattern is smoothed with a graph ...

Numerical Absorbing Boundary Conditions Based on a Damped Wave Equation for Pseudospectral Time-Domain Acoustic Simulations

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
In the context of wave-like phenomena, Fourier pseudospectral time-domain (PSTD) algorithms are some of the most efficient time-domain numerical methods for engineering applications.

Hybrid Shifted Gegenbauer Integral–Pseudospectral Method for Solving Time-Fractional Benjamin–Bona–Mahony–Burgers Equation

open access: yesMathematics
This paper introduces a novel hybrid shifted Gegenbauer integral–pseudospectral (HSG-IPS) method to solve the time-fractional Benjamin–Bona–Mahony–Burgers (FBBMB) equation with high accuracy.

Pseudospectral techniques for non -smooth evolutionary problems

open access: yes, 1998
A pseudospectral approach is used to solve non-smooth evolutionary problems using Fourier collocation and Chebyshev collocation. It is well known that pseudospectral methods for smooth problems can offer superior accuracy over finite difference and ...
