Bilateral Knee Osteonecrosis in an Adolescent With Leukemia on Prolonged Corticosteroids: Discordant Femoral–Tibial Findings on Bone Scan SPECT–CT

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Osteonecrosis (avascular necrosis, AVN) is a disabling complication of corticosteroid exposure and is well recognized in adolescents treated for hematologic malignancies, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Role of the Antioxidant Lycopene in Bone Health: Emphasis on the RANKL/RANK/OPG Signaling Pathway

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Bone health may be maintained through several interconnected mechanisms attributed to lycopene including its potent antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, osteogenic, and anti‐resorptive actions. Lycopene may protect osteoblasts by reducing reactive oxygen species and stress‐mediated apoptosis.
