Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

THE IMPORTANCE OF PUNCTUALITY IN PARTICULAR SEGMENTS OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT USERS: A CASE STUDY FROM GDYNIA (POLAND) [PDF]
Increasing the share of trips using public transport is a long-term activity that necessitates continuous improvement of the offer. What is crucial here is not only the tangible sphere, measured by objective indicators of punctuality, but also the ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Integrating public transport into mobiTopp
Abstract: Demand and supply are both relevant for travel time in public transport. While it is obvious that the supply side in form of the timetable corresponds directly to the travel time, the demand side influences the travel time only partially, but in critical moments.

This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

In over 50% of non‐metastatic breast cancer patients, circulating tumor cells (CTCs) along the whole epithelial‐mesenchymal transition spectrum are detected. Total CTC number and individual phenotypes relate to aggressive disease characteristics, including lymph node involvement and higher tumor proliferation. At the single‐cell level, mesenchymal CTCs

Commuters’ satisfaction with public transport
Abstract Introduction Previous studies have shown that people's satisfaction with their commute can have an impact on their subjective well-being and general quality of life. Public transport users tend to be less happy with their commute than pedestrians, cyclists and car users.
