Formula Optimization and Antioxidant Activity of High-added Tartary Buckwheat Noodles

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji, 2022
To optimize the formula of high addition tartary buckwheat noodles and study its antioxidant activity, single factor experiments and response surface method were used to determine the optimal formula of high-added tartary buckwheat noodles. Secondly, the

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Large-scale variation in combined impacts of canopy loss and disturbance on community structure and ecosystem functioning. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Ecosystems are under pressure from multiple human disturbances whose impact may vary depending on environmental context. We experimentally evaluated variation in the separate and combined effects of the loss of a key functional group (canopy algae ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Thermogravimetric Analysis on PVA / PVP Blend Under Air Atmosphere [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2016
Films of poly vinyl alcohol (PVA) /poly vinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) blends have been prepared by solution casting method with different ratios of each other (100/0 , 80/20 , 60/40 , 50/50 , 40/60 , 20/80 , 0/100) to investigate their thermal stability ...

An Investigation about Stability in Waves of Large Pleasure Yachts

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2023
The IMO’s second-generation intact stability criteria (SGISc) have been applied to a set of seven megayacht units ranging from 40 m to 80 m. The application aims to evaluate their stability performance in a seaway.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Chitosan/Poly(Amide-Imide) Blend Films: Studies on Thermal and Mechanical Stability, Morphology and Biodegradability [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2017
A diacid monomer was synthesized by the condensation of L-tryptophan amino acid and pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA). The diacid was utilized for the synthesis of three types of poly(amide-imide)s (PAIs) using three different kinds of diamines.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created
