RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Prediction of pure loss of stability in following waves incorporating the effect of hydrodynamic lift force

open access: yesZhongguo Jianchuan Yanjiu
ObjectiveWhen ships sail in following waves, they often encounter complex nonlinear phenomena. Specifically, variations in waterplane area may lead to a significant reduction in the roll restoring force, and excessive surge forces on the ship can induce ...

Collagen-hyaluronic acid scaffolds for adipose tissue engineering. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Three-dimensional (3-D) in vitro models of the mammary gland require a scaffold matrix that supports the development of adipose stroma within a robust freely permeable matrix. 3-D porous collagen-hyaluronic acid (HA: 7.5% and 15%) scaffolds were produced

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

State-of-the-art and prospects of direct stability assessment methods for second-generation intact stability criteria

open access: yesZhongguo Jianchuan Yanjiu
Intact stability of ships in waves is a fundamental guarantee for navigation safety. The direct stability assessment methods associated with the Second Generation Intact Stability Criteria (SGISC) remain undeveloped and have become a key focus of current

Co-Crystallization Approach to Enhance the Stability of Moisture-Sensitive Drugs

open access: yesPharmaceutics, 2023
Stability is an essential quality attribute of any pharmaceutical formulation. Poor stability can change the color and physical appearance of a drug, directly impacting the patient’s perception.

Polyetherimide foams filled with low content of graphene nanoplatelets prepared by scCO2 dissolution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Polyetherimide (PEI) foams with graphene nanoplatelets (GnP) were prepared by supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2) dissolution. Foam precursors were prepared by melt-mixing PEI with variable amounts of ultrasonicated GnP (0.1–2.0 wt %) and foamed by one ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
