Autonomous Systems: Sensors, Processing, and Security for Vehicles and Infrastructure 2020, 2020
We propose a modification to the popular pure pursuit algorithm for path following of car like platforms in which multiple look-ahead points along the target path are aggregated to form a spatially filtered steering command. Our approach enables complex following behaviors while avoiding such as oscillatory behavior observed in approaches with a single

Optimal Evasion Against Dual Pure Pursuit
2020 American Control Conference (ACC), 2020The Pure Pursuit strategy is ubiquitous both in the control literature but also in real-world implementation. In this paper, we pose and solve a variant of Isaacs' Two Cutters and Fugitive Ship problem wherein the Pursuers' strategy is fixed to Pure Pursuit, thus making it an optimal control problem.

An Improved Pure Pursuit Algorithm for Tractor Automatic Navigation
2021 IEEE 4th International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Aided Education (ICISCAE), 2021In this paper, an improved pure pursuit (IPP) for tractor autonomous navigation is proposed. The kinematics model is based on simplified two wheeled vehicle Ackermann model. By detecting the trend of deviation to the planned path, the looking-ahead distance, a key parameter in the pure tracking algorithm, is automatically adjusted to improve the ...
