Mechanosensitive Hydrolysis of ATP and ADP in Lamina Propria of the Murine Bladder by Membrane-Bound and Soluble Nucleotidases

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2022
Prior studies suggest that urothelium-released adenosine 5′-triphosphate (ATP) has a prominent role in bladder mechanotransduction. Urothelial ATP regulates the micturition cycle through activation of purinergic receptors that are expressed in many cell ...

A General Enzymatic Strategy for Site‐Specific Incorporation of Modified Genetic Building Blocks Into DNA

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Eco‐friendly enzymatic synthesis of high‐fidelity, site‐specifically modified DNA using 3′‐blocked nucleotides for full synthetic control and next‐generation sequencing compatibility. ABSTRACT Methods for site‐specific incorporation of modified DNA building blocks remain limited.

Identification of a Nonribosomal Peptide Analog With Activity Against Multiple Gram‐Positive Bacteria via a Synthetic Bioinformatic Natural Product Discovery Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The genome of Rhodococcus erythropolis D‐1 was analyzed by bioinformatic tools to mine a novel nonribosomal peptide synthetase (NRPS) gene cluster. A nonribosomal peptide analog ZURJC5 associated with the NRPS was chemically synthesized. Through structure‐activity relationship studies, ZURJC28 was ultimately obtained and showed antibacterial activity ...

Light‐Activated Ruthenium Nanoclusters Reprogram the Metabolic‐Quorum Sensing Axis for Precision Periodontitis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Under 660 nm visible light, Ru NCs efficiently photocatalyze nitrate‐to‐ammonium conversion and modulate oral nitrogen metabolism. They precisely perturb Veillonella parvula, block its key support to Porphyromonas gingivalis, and exert an “inhibiting without killing” antivirulence effect.

A Homogeneous Cyclic Cmp Phospho Di Esterase Hydrolyzes Both Pyrimidine and Purine Cyclic 2' 3' Nucleotides and 3' 5' Nucleotides [PDF]

open access: yes, 1982
A homogeneous preparation of [pig liver] cyclic[c]CMP phosphodiesterase catalyzes the hydrolysis of both pyrimidine and purine cyclic 2':3'- and 3':5'-nucleotides.

Diguanosine 5′ ,5‴-P1 ,P4-tetraphosphate and other purine nucleotides inhibit endoribonuclease VI from Artemia [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
The activity of the endoribonuclease VI from Artemia is sensitive to several purine nucleotides. The enzyme is non-competitively inhibited by diguanosine tetraphosphate (Ki = 75 μM), a nucleotide abundant in Artemia encysted gastrulae and located in the ...

Metagenomic Association Uncovers Host Genotype‐Structured Rhizobacterial Networks and Novel Taxa That Enhance Soybean Salt Tolerance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An STI‐guided metagenomic association framework links soybean salt‐tolerance phenotypes with rhizosphere microbiome composition and network organization in natural saline soils. The approach identifies candidate beneficial taxa, including Thalassospira xiamenensis, and provides an efficient strategy for mining stress‐protective microbes from native ...
