?Dystrophic? Purkinje cell dendrites in an infant

Acta Neuropathologica, 1982
A 6 1/2 month old male infant presented a week after his birth with secretory diarrhea of unknown etiology. He was sustained by central hyperalimentation for the rest of his life, and treated for presumed sepsis with a wide variety of antibiotics. The brain showed vacuolation in the diencephalic nuclei and white matter of the brain stem.

The plasticity of the Purkinje cell.

Clinical and experimental neurology, 1985
Dendritic plasticity in man is analysed on the example of the Purkinje cell. The conspicuous and easily demonstrable dendrites of this cell lend themselves particularly to such a study. Abnormalities of the dendritic tree have been observed in a variety of conditions, some of them originating in early infancy, others acquired in later life, all of them
