Entanglement swapping with photons generated on-demand by a quantum dot
Photonic entanglement swapping, the procedure of entangling photons without any direct interaction, is a fundamental test of quantum mechanics and an essential resource to the realization of quantum networks.

Rheocasting versus Die Casting: An Insight into the Low‐Cycle Fatigue Behavior of AlSi7Mg0.6
The study compares rheocast lightweight components with high‐pressure die cast materials regarding microstructure and fatigue behavior. Rheocast process offers higher efficiency due to lower casting temperatures. Despite some microstructural differences, both processes show similar strengths (yield strength 125 MPa, tensile strength 240 MPa).

A shooting free throw is a shot awarded to a player to score, as a result of being distracted by an opposing player in an attempt on a field shot. To master it, systematic training is needed, one of which is push-up and pull-up exercises. This study aims

Load-reversed push-out tests on rectangular CFST columns
Abstract Load-reversed push-out tests have been carried out on 6 rectangular concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) columns with the aim of investigating the nature of the bond between the concrete infill and the steel tube, the contribution of each bond stress component (i.e.

Can Ti‐Based MXenes Serve as Solid Lubricants for Brake Applications? A Tribological Study
This study explores the first implementation of Ti‐based MXenes materials in brake pad friction composite material. The resulting composite material exhibits a 48% reduction in the wear rate; alongside significant improvements are observed for thermal and mechanical properties.

Numerical analysis of frictional contact effects in push-out tests [PDF]
This paper proposes an accurate and efficient 2D nonlinear finite element model to investigate the mechanical behaviour of the shear connection between prefabricated concrete slab and steel girder in composite bridges. Beside material nonlinear constitutive laws and 4-noded plane elements, frictional contact finite elements are introduced in the model ...
