Hemisynthesis and Absolute Configuration of novel 6-pentyl-2H-pyran- 2-one derivatives from Trichoderma spp [PDF]

open access: bronze, 2009
A comparative study of the secondary metabolism of two Trichoderma spp. with that of the Thctf1 transcription factor gene null mutant of Trichoderma harzianum 34 was carried out in order to deepen our knowledge of the biosynthetic pathway and mode of ...

Selective Oxygenation of 3,4-Dihydro-2H-Pyran to 5,6-Dihydro-2H-Pyran-2-One With Pd/C Catalyst and Molecular Oxygen. [PDF]

open access: yesChemSusChem
Selective oxygenation: The oxidation of 3,4‐dihydro‐2H‐pyran, which can be produced from lignocellulose‐derived furfural, was investigated with various catalysts using O2 as an oxidant in a H2O solvent. 5,6‐dihydro‐2H‐pyran‐2‐one, a value‐added product, was obtained in 52% yield with reusable Pd/C catalyst.

Methyl (6R*,6aR*,12bR*)-2,4-dimethyl-6-(2-methylphenyl)-1,3-dioxo-2,3,4,6a,7,12b-hexahydro-1H,6H-chromeno[4′,3′:4,5]pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine-6a-carboxylate

open access: yesIUCrData, 2017
In the title compound, C24H24N2O6, the mean planes of the pyran rings (A and B) are inclined to one another by 69.2 (1)°, while the aromatic ring (D) of the chromene ring system makes dihedral angles of 63.42 (11) and 66.81 (12)° with the pyrimidine (C ...

Synthesis, cytotoxic and anti-proliferative activity of novel thiophene, thieno[2,3-b]pyridine and pyran derivatives derived from 4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzo[b]thiophene derivative

open access: yesActa Chimica Slovenica, 2017
Novel tetrahydrobenzo[b]thienopyrole derivatives were synthesized from 2-amino-3-cyano-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzo[b]thiophene (1) through its reaction with α-chloroacetone to give the corresponding N-alkyl derivative 3.

Stereoselective protecting group free synthesis of d,l-gulose ethyl glycoside via multicomponent enyne cross metathesis—hetero Diels–Alder reaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
An efficient and stereoselective synthesis of d,l-gulose was described. The key step of the synthetic route is represented by a multicomponent enyne cross metathesis—hetero Diels–Alder reaction which allows the formation of the pyran ring from cheap and ...

The synthesis of 4H-pyran containing hemispherands via pyrylium salts [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
Two new hemispherands 2a and 2b containing a central 4H-pyran unit were synthesized via appropiately substituted 2,6-phenyl pyrylium salts; largest ΔGo values of complexation of 2a and 2b with different alkali picrates are found for Na+ and K+
