Abstract The hyperfine structure of a number of lines in the microwave spectra of 1-D-pyrazole and 4-D-pyrazole has been measured and analysed. First order quadrupole coupling theory for the two nitrogen atoms has been used to generate computer simulated multiplets for optimal fitting to the corresponding spectrometer tracings.

A vibrational assignment for pyrazole
Journal of the Chemical Society B: Physical Organic, 1967Infrared spectra of pyrazole in the vapour and solid states and in solution are reported and discussed. From these, and by comparison with the spectra of N-deuterio-, 3-methyl-, and 3,5-dimethyl-pyrazole, and other simple five-membered heterocycles, a vibrational assignment is proposed.
