Cyclicity of a fake saddle inside the quadratic vector fields

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 2015
Agraïments: The first author acknowledges the support of FWO Vlaanderen (Grant number G093910). UNAB10-4E-378 grants This paper concerns the study of small-amplitude limit cycles that appear in the phase portrait near an unfolded fake saddle singularity. This degenerate singularity is also known as a impassable grain. The normal form of the unperturbed

AI‐Enhanced Vibrational Capsule for Minimally Invasive Detection of Abnormal Bowel Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fully integrated vibration‐assisted capsule is presented for the minimally invasive detection of bowel lesions. The capsule incorporates a wireless sensor and an eccentric motor to probe tissue mechanics in situ. By coupling triaxial vibration signals with AI‐based classification and analytical modeling, the system enables early, non‐visual ...

Large Anomalous Hall Effect, Non‐Vanishing Berry Curvature in (110) FeRh Antiferromagnet Films via Interface Strain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a strain‐tunable anomalous Hall response in the (110)‐oriented FeRh thin film. First‐principles calculations reveal that strain‐induced symmetry lowering redistributes Berry curvature near the Fermi level via band shifts and avoided crossings.

Gravity and unification: Insights from SL(2N,C) gauge theories

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
The perspective that gravity may govern the unification of all elementary forces calls for extending the gauge-gravity symmetry SL(2,C) to the broader local symmetry SL(2N,C), where N reflects the internal SU(N) subgroup.

Random Time‐Space Coding Metasurfaces for Spatial Control of the Temporal Statistics of Electromagnetic Fields

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A probabilistic framework based on random time‐space coding metasurfaces enables control of the spatial distribution of electromagnetic fields temporal statistics. By tailoring the marginal and joint distributions of random codes, electromagnetic fields with desired mean and variance patterns are realized, enabling simultaneous transmission and jamming.

Ghost-free vector superfield actions in supersymmetric higher-derivative theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We systematically construct ghost-free higher-derivative actions of Abelian vector supermultiplets in four-dimensional N = 1 $$ \mathcal{N}=1 $$ global supersymmetric theories.

Superradiance and Broadband Emission Driving Fast Electron Dephasing in Open Quantum Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We uncover the physical origin of ultrafast electron dephasing in solid‐state high‐harmonic generation by simulating the Lindblad equation for the dissipative Hubbard model. Coexistence of Dicke superradiance and broadband emission is revealed, whose destructive interference shortens the effective scattering time and provides a unified picture of ...

High‐Order Nonlinear Photonic Crystal with Ordered Structures for Giant Enhancement of Frequency Tripling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A meta‐YAG crystal with artificially order/disorder structures was fabricated to realize the efficient third‐harmonic generation at 343 nm with a conversion efficiency of 4.5×10−3, surpassing six orders of magnitude compared to bulk YAG crystal. Moreover, a wide spectral tunability from 331 to 356 nm was also achieved in the meta‐YAG, indicating its ...

On the reversible quadratic polynomial vector fields on S2

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2012
AbstractWe study a class of quadratic reversible polynomial vector fields on S2 with (3, 2)-type reversibility. We classify all isolated singularities and we prove the nonexistence of limit cycles for this class. Our study provides tools to determine the phase portrait for these vector fields.

Machine Learning for Designing Perovskites and Perovskite‐Inspired Solar Materials: Emerging Opportunities and Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review offers a comprehensive comparison between perovskites and perovskite‐inspired materials (PIMs), focusing on their crystal structures, electronic properties, and chemical compositions. It evaluates the applicability of machine learning (ML) descriptors and models across both material classes.
