Sestrin2 Mitigates Neuronal Ferroptosis Following Subarachnoid Hemorrhage via Orchestration of the AMPK/PGC1α/Nrf2 Signaling Axis

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 5, May 2026.
The schematic summarizes SESN2's neuroprotective actions after subarachnoid hemorrhage. SESN2 activates an AMPK/PGC1α/Nrf2 signaling cascade that reduces oxidative stress, suppresses neuronal ferroptosis, and improves functional outcomes; these effects were validated by genetic knockdown and pharmacologic inhibition.

Evaluation of a prepared combined inactivated vaccine against hemorrhagic disease virus 2 and Clostridium perfringens type A infections in rabbit

open access: yesVacciMonitor
Rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus 2 and Clostridium perfringens type A cause infections in rabbit. Vaccines are considered an effective strategy for fighting these infections.

Salt in the Wound: Assessing Pathogen Susceptibility in Amphibian Populations Across a Gradient of Salt Pollution

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 5, May 2026.
The survival function of nine larval wood frog populations and their viral loads when exposed to FV3. The populations were collected as eggs from a range of salt‐polluted ponds. Viral load data are means ±1 SE. The populations are ordered in terms of the saltiness of their natal ponds.

Laryngeal Transplantation in Cancer Patients: Evaluation of Surgical Outcomes and Functional Recovery

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2026.
Our pilot clinical study in laryngeal transplantation achieved divergent outcomes: two cases maintained functional speech/swallowing with around 2 year graft survival and have been ongoing, while two succumbed to sepsis (10mo) and hemorrhagic recurrence (11mo).
