Data processing for radial immunodiffusion
Immunochemistry, 1971Abstract The procedure for calculation of the ratio of the number of antibody to antigen molecules initially contained within a precipitin ring is given for both the forward (antigen-in-the-well) and reverse (antibody-in-the-well) methods of radial immunodiffusion from single wells.

BACKGROUND: The current method used to measure haemagglutinin (HA) content for influenza vaccine formulation, single radial immunodiffusion (SRID), is lengthy and relies on the availability of matched standardised homologous reagents.

The degree of polymerization of haptoglobin (Hp) phenotypes 2-1 and 2-2 was studied. In individual samples the degree of polymerization tends to be positively correlated with the Hp concentration as determined by the radial immunodiffusion technique (RID)

Immunochemical quantitation of antigens by single radial immunodiffusion
Immunochemistry, 1965Abstract When an unknown amount of antigen is allowed to diffuse radially from a well in a uniformly thin layer of antibody-containing agar for a sufficient time to allow all antigen to combine, the final area reached by the precipitate is directly proportional to the amount of antigen employed, and inversely proportional to the concentration of ...

Antigen quantitation by a hemolytic radial immunodiffusion assay
Immunochemistry, 1978Abstract The radial immunoprecipitin assay for antigen quantitation (Mancini's assay) was modified into a radial immunohemolytic assay, whereby the antigen lyses erythrocytes coated with the complementary antibody. Thus, when rabbit immunoglobulin G (IgG) diffused in Petri dishes from wells into agar gels containing erythrocytes coated with purified ...

A Staining Rack for Radial Immunodiffusion Plates
American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1970A readily constructed rack is described tha permits the uniform handling of as many as 10 radial immunodiffusion plates simultaneously during antibody elution and subsequent staining. The device consists of a circular baseplate with a centrally located, vertical axial rod and a series of hollow cylindrical spacers that thread onto the rod.
