A radioimmunoassay for erythropoietin [PDF]

open access: yesBlood, 1979
Abstract We describe the development of a radioimmunoassay (RIA) for erythropoietin. Antisera were raised in rabbits with an impure human urinary erythropoietin preparation used as immunogen, but with pure human erytropoietin serving as the labeled antigen in the RIA and as a primary standard.

Current Advances in Immunoassays for the Detection of β2-Agonists

open access: yesFoods, 2022
β2-agonists are a group of synthetic phenylethanolamine compounds which are traditionally used for treating bronchospasm. These compounds can also increase skeletal muscle mass and decrease body fat.

Hypocretin Levels in Sporadic and Familial Cases of Canine Narcolepsy

open access: yesNeurobiology of Disease, 2001
Familial and sporadic forms of narcolepsy exist in both humans and canines. Mutations in the hypocretin receptor 2 gene (Hcrtr 2) cause canine familial narcolepsy.

Salivary and plasmatic oxytocin are not reliable trait markers of the physiology of the oxytocin system in humans

open access: yeseLife, 2020
Single measurements of salivary and plasmatic oxytocin are used as indicators of the physiology of the oxytocin system. However, questions remain about whether they are sufficiently stable to provide valid trait markers of the physiology of the oxytocin ...

RADIOIMMUNOASSAY FOR DETECTION OF ANTI-RINDERPEST ANTIBODIES IN CATTLES

open access: yesThe Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Medicine, 2022
Liquid Phase Radioimmunoassay (RIA) was developed to detect and measure anti-rinderpest immunoglobulins in field animals sera, within two hours. Rinderpest virus adapted on Vero cell line culture and antigen purified by treatment with Triton-Gentron 13 ...

Radioimmunoassay of Triiodothyronine

open access: yesFolia Endocrinologica Japonica, 1972
Immunization of rabbits with triiodothyronine-methyl ester hydrochloride conjugated to bovine serum albumin resulted in the production of antibody against triiodothyronine. Using dextran-coated charcoal technique, a practically useful and specific radioimmimoassay method for triiodothyronine was developed.

Secretion of the arginine-rich and A-I apolipoproteins by the isolated perfused rat liver

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1977
Rates of secretion of the arginine-rich and A-I apolipoproteins into perfusates of rat livers were measured by specific radioimmunoassays. Livers were perfused for 6 hr in a recirculating system in the presence or absence of 5,5′-dithionitrobenzoic acid,
