Salivary and plasmatic oxytocin are not reliable trait markers of the physiology of the oxytocin system in humans

open access: yeseLife, 2020
Single measurements of salivary and plasmatic oxytocin are used as indicators of the physiology of the oxytocin system. However, questions remain about whether they are sufficiently stable to provide valid trait markers of the physiology of the oxytocin ...

Screening and characterization of myositis‐related autoantibodies in COVID‐19 patients

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, Volume 16, Issue 1, Page 140-150, January 2023., 2023
Abstract An efficient host immune response against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2, COVID‐19) appears to be crucial for controlling and resolving this viral infection. However, many studies have reported autoimmune characteristics in severe COVID‐19 patients.

Radioimmunoassay of Triiodothyronine

open access: yesFolia Endocrinologica Japonica, 1972
Immunization of rabbits with triiodothyronine-methyl ester hydrochloride conjugated to bovine serum albumin resulted in the production of antibody against triiodothyronine. Using dextran-coated charcoal technique, a practically useful and specific radioimmimoassay method for triiodothyronine was developed.

Role of autoantibody levels as biomarkers in the management of patients with myasthenia gravis: A systematic review and expert appraisal

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 30, Issue 1, Page 266-282, January 2023., 2023
Myasthenia gravis is recognized as an immunoglobulin G autoantibody‐mediated disease, but the relationship between autoantibody levels and disease activity is unclear. We conducted a systematic literature review to evaluate this landscape, which yielded 10 studies mainly describing a positive, significant correlation.

Hair Testosterone and Cortisol Concentrations in Pre- and Post-Rut Roe Deer Bucks: Correlations with Blood Levels and Testicular Morphometric Parameters

open access: yesAnimals, 2018
The roe deer is a seasonally breeding species with a reproductive cycle regulated by endogenous rhythms and photoperiod-sensitivity. Sexually mature bucks show hormonal and testicular activation during the reproductive season, with a peak in the rut ...

Radioimmunoassay of Sisomicin [PDF]

open access: yesAntimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, 1976
An antibody induced in rabbits against a gentamicin-bovine serum albumin conjugate cross-reacted with the chemically related aminoglycoside, sisomicin, facilitating the development of a sisomicin radioimmunoassay. Sisomicin was labeled with 125 I using an acylating agent [3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propionic acid-
