Integrated metabolomics and transcriptomics analysis provides insights into biosynthesis and accumulation of flavonoids and glucosinolates in different radish varieties

open access: yesCurrent Research in Food Science
Radish is an important vegetable worldwide, with wide medicinal functions and health benefits. The quality of radish, strongly affected by phytochemicals like flavonoids and glucosinolates, are quite different depending on the radish varieties.

Root‐Stimulated Movements in Mimosa Pudica for Biohybrid Robotic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that thermal and electrical stimulation of Mimosa pudica root induces movement of the petiole and pinnules without direct stimulation of the aerial organs, thereby enabling a plant‐based robotic gripper and providing a foundation for the development of intelligent and sustainable systems.

Chitosan‐Carbon Dot Composite Materials Form a Leaf Surface Barrier to Mitigate the Enrichment and Invasion of Nanoplastics: From Leaf Interface to Systemic Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.

DMS‐MaPseq and DREEM Analyses Implicate the Critical Role of RNA Structural Dynamics in Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus Pathogenicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RNA structural profiling of Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus by DMS‐MaPseq and DREEM analyses uncover that viral genome‐wide RSS is highly complicated and heterogeneous, with alternative RSSs widely distributed across the genome. Notably, the viral 3’ tRNA‐like structure adopts alternative conformations in vivo.

Supramolecular Assembly of Stepped‐Persistent ROS Nanogenerator for Sustained Tumor Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ROS catalytic systems often fail to achieve both effective tumor elimination and persistent immune activation due to their monotonous ROS production profiles. A stepped‐persistent ROS nanogenerator was developed by supramolecularly assembling multiple ROS generation modules within a nanofiber structure to simultaneously extend ROS generation duration ...

Phototropism in Hypocotyls of Radish [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Physiology, 1986
When etiolated radish (Raphanus sativus var. hortensis f. gigantissimus Makino) hypocotyls were subjected to a continuous unilateral illumination with white fluorescent light (0.1 watt per square meter), the growth rate at the lighted side was strongly inhibited for the first 2 hours, while that at the shaded side showed no change.
