SUMMARYThe random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique was successfully used to produce genetic fingerprints distinguishing between Trichinella spiralis and Trichinella britovi. The same patterns were obtained from purified and crude DNA preparations of pooled and single muscle larvae.
