Random distributed feedback fiber laser of ultimate efficiency [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics, 2014
We demonstrate a random fiber laser of ultimate efficiency. More than 2 Watts are generated from 0.5W of pump excess over the generation threshold. At higher power, an optical efficiency corresponds to the quantum limit.

Power optimization of random distributed feedback fiber lasers

open access: yesOptics Express, 2012
We present a comprehensive study of power output characteristics of random distributed feedback Raman fiber lasers. The calculated optimal slope efficiency of the backward wave generation in the one-arm configuration is shown to be as high as ~90% for 1 W threshold.

Temporally Stable Random Fiber Laser Operates at 1070 nm

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2015
We experimentally demonstrate a temporally stable random fiber laser (RFL) operating at 1070-nm wavelength. A piece of 25-km passive fiber pumped by a 1018-nm ytterbium-doped fiber laser provides both Raman amplification from stimulated Raman scattering ...

Distributed Event Triggering Algorithm for Multi-Agent System over a Packet Dropping Network

open access: yesSensors, 2021
The availability of wireless networked control systems (WNCSs) has increased the interest in controlling multi-agent systems. Multiple feedback loops are closed over a shared communication network in such systems.

Dual-wavelength random distributed feedback fiber laser with wavelength, linewidth, and power ratio tunability.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2020
Owing to the special power distribution property, a random distributed feedback Raman fiber laser can achieve a high power spectrally flexible output with a low power spectrally tuning device.

Random lasing in a short Er-doped artificial Rayleigh fiber

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2020
We report on random lasing observed with 5-m-long Er-doped fiber comprising an array of weak fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) inscribed in the fiber core and uniformly distributed over the whole fiber length.

Efficient 1054 nm Raman Random Fiber Laser

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
Low–coherence laser is regarded as the key to mitigating laser–plasma instability (LPI) in laser–driven inertial confinement fusion (ICF), where LPI can decrease the laser energy coupled to the target.

Narrow-linewidth Q-switched random distributed feedback fiber laser

open access: yesOptics Express, 2016
A narrow-linewidth Q-switched random fiber laser (RFL) based on a half-opened cavity, which is realized by narrow-linewidth fiber Bragg grating (FBG) and a section of 3 km passive fiber, has been proposed and experimentally investigated. The narrow-linewidth lasing is generated by the spectral filtering of three FBGs with linewidth of 1.21 nm, 0.56 nm,
