Chaos with Gaussian invariant distribution by quantum-noise random phase feedback
We experimentally present a random phase feedback based on quantum noise to generate a chaotic laser with Gaussian invariant distribution. The quantum noise from vacuum fluctuations is acquired by balanced homodyne detection and injected into a phase modulator to form a random phase feedback.

Non-fragile H∞ control with randomly occurring gain variations, distributed delays and channel fadings [PDF]
This study is concerned with the non-fragile H∞ control problem for a class of discrete-time systems subject to randomly occurring gain variations (ROGVs), channel fadings and infinite-distributed delays.

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

High-efficiency cascaded Raman fiber laser with random distributed feedback
Cascaded lasing provided by Raman gain (at 1115-nm pumping) and random distributed feedback (via Rayleigh backscattering) in a 1.65-km phosphosilicate fiber is studied. Output power for the second Stokes component (1398 nm) exceeds 5 W at pump power of 11 W.

Strong scattering random media can localize light and extend photon lifetime through multiple scattering, which offers opportunities for stabilizing random lasers. Here, we demonstrate a frequency stabilized Brillouin random laser with high coherence enabled by photon localization in random fiber grating array (RFGA). Photon trapping is realized due to
