High Power, High-Order Random Raman Fiber Laser Based on Tapered Fiber
In this paper, we demonstrate a high power and high-order random Raman fiber laser based on a 1 km novel tapered fiber (TF). The core diameter of the TF gradually increases from 8 μm to 20 μm.

Random distributed feedback Raman fiber laser with polarized pumping [PDF]
In this letter, the polarization properties of a random fiber laser operating via Raman gain and random distributed feedback owing to Rayleigh scattering are investigated for the first time. Using polarized pump, the partially polarized generation is obtained with a generation spectrum exhibiting discrete narrow spectral features contrary to the smooth

UK Housing Market: Time Series Processes with Independent and Identically Distributed Residuals [PDF]
The paper examines whether a univariate data generating process can be identified which explains the data by having residuals that are independent and identically distributed, as verified by the BDS test.

Galactic porosity and a star formation threshold for the escape of ionising radiation from galaxies [PDF]
The spatial distribution of star formation within galaxies strongly affects the resulting feedback processes. Previous work has considered the case of a single, concentrated nuclear starburst, and also that of distributed single supernovae (SNe).

Spatial random multiple access with multiple departure
We introduce a new model of spatial random multiple access systems with a non-standard departure policy: all arriving messages are distributed uniformly on a finite sphere in the space, and when a successful transmission of a single message occurs, the ...

Time-delay signature suppression in a chaotic semiconductor laser by fiber random grating induced random distributed feedback. [PDF]
We demonstrate that a semiconductor laser perturbed by distributed feedback with random time delays from a large number of scattering centers along a fiber random grating can emit light chaotically without the time-delay signature (TDS).

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Powerful narrow linewidth random fiber laser
In this paper, we demonstrate a narrow linewidth random fiber laser, which employs a tunable pump laser to select the operating wavelength for efficiency optimization, a narrow-band fiber Bragg grating (FBG) and a section of single mode fiber to ...

Performance Analysis for Physical Layer Security in Multi-Antenna Downlink Networks with Limited CSI Feedback [PDF]
Channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter is of importance to the performance of physical layer security based on multi-antenna networks. Specifically, CSI is not only beneficial to improve the capacity of the legitimate channel, but also can be

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.
