An Assessment of Algorithms for Deriving Failure Deterministic Finite Automata
Failure deterministic finite automata (FDFAs) represent regular languages more compactly than deterministic finite automata (DFAs). Four algorithms that convert arbitrary DFAs to language-equivalent FDFAs are empirically investigated.

Robust Measurement-Driven Cardinality Balance Multi-Target Multi-Bernoulli Filter
The multi-target tracking filter under the Bayesian framework has strict requirements on the prior information of the target, such as detection probability density, clutter density, and target initial position information.

Influence of Geometric Design on Mechanical Performance of Auxetic Metastructure
Strategic geometric reinforcement transforms auxetic performance. This study evaluates 3D‐printed arrowhead metastructures, revealing that a modified design with local ring reinforcement suppresses premature failure to achieve superior energy absorption and structural efficiency.

Random-Finite-Set-Based Distributed Multirobot SLAM
This article addresses fully distributed multirobot (multivehicle) simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM). More specifically, a multivehicle scenario is considered, wherein a team of vehicles explore the scene of interest in order to cooperatively construct the map of the environment by locally updating and exchanging map information in a ...

Experimental Characterization of Mycelium‐Based Composites Under Multiple Loading Conditions
This study examines the mechanical response of mycelium‐based composites under compression, shear, and tension using mechanical testing and imaging methods. The comparison between unpressed and hot‐pressed specimens shows that hot pressing is associated with higher compression and shear stiffnesses.

Multi-Target Tracking by Associating and Fusing the Multi-Bernoulli Parameter Sets
The Cardinality Balanced MeMBer (CBMeMBer) filter is a single sensor multi-target tracking method based on the random finite set. Compared with the single sensor system, the multi-sensor system can achieve more stable and better performance in tracking ...

Relating Random Vector and Random Finite Set Estimation in Navigation, Mapping, and Tracking [PDF]
Navigation, mapping, and tracking are state estimation problems relevant to a wide range of applications. These problems have traditionally been formulated using random vectors in stochastic filtering, smoothing, or optimization-based approaches. Alternatively, the problems can be formulated using random finite sets, which offer a more robust solution ...

This work shows that the mechanical performance of multimaterial digital light processing (DLP) printed thermoset composites is governed by resin compatibility and interfacial design rather than spatial patterning alone. Brittle and ductile resin combinations produced premature interfacial failure, while graded interfaces and mechanically compatible ...

Multiple Extended Target Tracking With Labeled Random Finite Sets [PDF]
Targets that generate multiple measurements at a given instant in time are commonly known as extended targets. These present a challenge for many tracking algorithms, as they violate one of the key assumptions of the standard measurement model. In this paper, a new algorithm is proposed for tracking multiple extended targets in clutter, that is capable

An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.
