The Hausdorff dimension and exact Hausdorff measure of random recursive sets with overlapping

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2002
We weaken the open set condition and define a finite intersection property in the construction of the random recursive sets. We prove that this larger class of random sets are fractals in the sense of Taylor, and give conditions when these sets have ...

Carboxylic‐Acid Functionalized Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube‐Alkane‐Based Resistive Temperature Sensor for Cold Chain Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a reversible temperature sensor with high switching ratio, ∼103. The device is fabricated using PET‐ITO and carbon nanotube dispersions in alkane. Considering its application in cold chain logistics, a proof‐of‐concept with LED is showcased. Thus, a temperature drop below the threshold temperature (crystallization temperature of the

Multi-Target Joint Detection and Estimation Error Bound for the Sensor with Clutter and Missed Detection

open access: yesSensors, 2016
The error bound is a typical measure of the limiting performance of all filters for the given sensor measurement setting. This is of practical importance in guiding the design and management of sensors to improve target tracking performance.

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

A Student’s T Mixture Cardinality-Balanced Multi-Target Multi-Bernoulli Filter With Heavy-Tailed Process and Measurement Noises

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
The cardinality-balanced multi-target multi-Bernoulli (CBMeMBer) filter is a promising solution for multi-target tracking. However, the performance of the CBMeMBer filter will be degraded severely by outliers in the presence of heavy-tailed process noise

Multi-Sensor Multi-Target Tracking Using Probability Hypothesis Density Filter

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Compared with the single sensor tracking system, the multi-sensor tracking system has several advantages in target tracking, such as a larger field of view and higher tracking accuracy.

Active Sonar Target Tracking Based on the GM-CPHD Filter Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao, 2018
The estimation of underwater multi-target state has always been the difficult problem of active sonar target tracking. In order to get the variable number of target and their state, the random finite set theory is applied to multi-target tracking system ...

Robust Model-Dependent Poisson Multi Bernoulli Mixture Trackers for Multistatic Sonar Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
This work proposes a robust tracker based on the Poisson Multi Bernoulli Mixture (PMBM) filter for multistatic sonar networks (MSNs) systems. The PMBM based trackers estimate the number of targets and provide the target information via Bernoulli and ...

Rafting of Ni‐Based Superalloys Under Multiaxial Load as Understood by Phase‐Field Simulations and Critical Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.
