Ibero‐Balearic plant disjunctions: genomic support for rapid and recurrent long‐distance colonizations of the endangered Diplotaxis ibicensis (Brassicaceae) despite no dispersal syndromes

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
Genotyping‐by‐sequencing data reveal six well‐defined clades in the endangered Diplotaxis ibicensis, endemic to the western Mediterranean Basin and indicate rapid and recurrent long‐distance colonisations across the Balearic Islands and the eastern Iberian coast despite the absence of dispersal syndromes.

Genetic Structure and Conservation Strategies for the Endangered Catfish Steindachneridion melanodermatum (Siluriformes, Pimelodidae) in the Iguaçu River, Brazil

open access: yesAquatic Conservation: Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems, Volume 36, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The endemic catfish Steindachneridion melanodermatum from the Iguaçu River basin, southern Brazil, is one of the most threatened pimelodid species. Comprehension of its genetic structure is imperative to the formulation of long‐term efficacious conservation strategies. A genetic analysis was conducted on three populations from the lower Iguaçu

RAPD Genome maps of Douglas-fir [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Heredity, 1998
We present linkage maps and estimate genome length for two hybrid individuals of Douglas-fir [Pseudotsuga menziesii (Mirb.) Franco], a coniferous tree species of wide distribution in the western United States. The hybrids were produced by crosses between the coastal (var. menziesi~) and interior (var. glauca) varieties. Haploid megagametophytes from 80

Zebrafish as an Anti‐Isogenic Vertebrate Model and What It Reveals About Genetic Background and Reproducibility

open access: yesBioEssays, Volume 48, Issue 6, June 2026.
Zebrafish illustrates how polygenic sex determination, maternal germline bottlenecks, and a structurally restless genome jointly destabilize deep homozygosity. These interlocking constraints make fully isogenic zebrafish lines effectively unattainable, turning this model into a natural “stress test” for assumptions about genetic background and ...

Genetic stability among in vitro eggplant clones induced by different plant growth regulators

open access: yesBiotecnología Vegetal, 2019
Many factors may influence the genetic stability of plant in vitro clones, among which the genotype and the regenerative process induced by plant growth regulators.

Pseudotumor Cerebri Syndrome and Essential Thrombocythemia: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Pseudotumor cerebri syndrome (PTCS) is characterized by elevated intracranial pressure in the absence of intracranial mass lesions, structural abnormalities, or infectious conditions. Although the exact pathogenesis of PTCS remains largely elusive, it is increasingly recognized as a multifactorial condition.

Using RAPD markers to identify genets of an arable grass weed, Arrhenatherum elatius ssp. bulbosum

open access: yes, 1996
RAPD (Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA) markers were used to identify genets within a weed infestation of Arrhenatherum elatius ssp bulbosum (''onion couch''). Three selected primers could discriminate between 18 sexually-derived plants of A. elatius ssp.

MOG Antibody‐Associated Optic Neuritis Masquerading as Traumatic Optic Neuropathy Following Cranial Trauma: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody‐associated disease (MOGAD) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by demyelination of the central nervous system. It can impact the optic nerves, spinal cord, brain parenchyma, and brainstem, resulting in various clinical presentations such as acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), optic ...
