Profiling of Sensory Attributes the Fish Bonggolan from Gresik Using the RATA (Rate-All-That-Apply) Method

open access: yesAJARCDE (Asian Journal of Applied Research for Community Development and Empowerment)
Fish bonggolan is a traditional fish-based snack from Sidayu District, Gresik Regency, produced by local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Variations in raw material composition and processing methods among producers lead to differences in sensory characteristics and consumer acceptance.

Parametric and non-parametric approach for sensory RATA (Rate-All-That-Apply) method of ledre profile attributes

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2018
This current study is aimed to investigate the use of parametric and non-parametric approach for sensory RATA (Rate-All-That-Apply) method. Ledre as Bojonegoro unique local food product was used as point of interest, in which 319 panelists were involved in the study. The result showed that ledre is characterized as easy-crushed texture, sticky in mouth,

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Profiling of Sensory Attributes Shrimp Crackers from East Java Using The Rate-All-That-Apply Method

open access: yesAJARCDE (Asian Journal of Applied Research for Community Development and Empowerment)
Shrimp crackers are a traditional food that is quite popular among the public. The ingredients used in making shrimp crackers include tapioca flour, shrimp, eggs, sugar, salt, and garlic. The composition and proportion of the raw materials used in shrimp crackers can affect the sensory profile characteristics of the resulting shrimp crackers.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Single-equation estimation of the equilibrium real exchange rate [PDF]

open access: yes
Estimating the degree of exchange-rate misalignment remains one of the most challenging empirical problems in an open economy. The basic problem is that the value of the real exchange rate is not observable.
