Food Waste to Wellness: A Grape Pomace Blend in Gastric Cancer Prevention. [PDF]

Grape pomace was used to set up a phytocomplex studied for gastric cancer prevention. HPLC/MS analyses revealed that this mixture is a source of many polyphenols and amino acids. This novel nutraceutical (GPE) selectively targets cancer cells, sparing healthy ones. Molecular mechanisms confirmed that GPE acts, inducing apoptosis and autophagy.
