Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

A new kernel estimator of hazard ratio and its asymptotic mean squared error
The hazard function is a ratio of a density and survival function, and it is a basic tool of the survival analysis. In this paper we propose a kernel estimator of the hazard ratio function, which are based on a modification of \'{C}wik and Mielniczuk's ...

Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Consequences of measurement error in qPCR telomere data: A simulation study.
The qPCR method provides an inexpensive, rapid method for estimating relative telomere length across a set of biological samples. Like all laboratory methods, it involves some degree of measurement error.

Error Exponents of Mismatched Likelihood Ratio Testing
We study the problem of mismatched likelihood ratio test. We analyze the type-\RNum{1} and \RNum{2} error exponents when the actual distributions generating the observation are different from the distributions used in the test. We derive the worst-case error exponents when the actual distributions generating the data are within a relative entropy ball ...

Estimation of parameters in linear structural relationships: Sensitivity to the choice of the ratio of error variances [PDF]
Maximum likelihood estimation of parameters in linear structural relationships under normality assumptions requires knowledge of one or more of the model parameters if no replication is available.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
