Range-Restricted Surface Interpolation Using Rational Bi-Cubic Spline Functions With 12 Parameters

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper discusses the constraint data interpolation or range restricted interpolation for surface data arranges on rectangular meshes that lie above or below an arbitrary plane and between two arbitrary planes by using partially blended rational bi ...

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Reducible Curves on Rational Surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesTokyo Journal of Mathematics, 2006
The authors study reducible curves \(B\) on a smooth projective rational surface \(X/\mathbb{C}\). Let \(f:V\to X\) be a birational morphism from a smooth projective surface \(V\) such that the proper transform \(D=f'(B)\) is a disjoint union of smooth irreducible curves.

An approximate solution for the MHD nano boundary-layer flows over stretching surfaces in a porous medium by rational Legendre collocation method

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2017
Solutions for the magnetohydrodynamic nano boundary layer fluid flow over a permeable stretching surface embedded in a porous medium are obtained numerically by rational Legendre collocation method.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

Modeling technology of curved surface development for puffer fish

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2020
The drag reduction mechanism of puffer epidermis was closely related to its real geometry. In order to solve the modeling problem of epidermal spines on the puffer surface, a modeling method for the expansion of puffer shape was proposed.

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

An arbitrary mesh network scheme using rational splines

open access: yes, 1991
A C1 surface scheme is described which interpolates points defined on an arbitrary mesh network. The scheme involves the blending of strip ‘functions’ developed from a rational spline method.

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.
