Psychotherapy Participants Show Increased Physiological Responsiveness to a Lab Stressor Relative to Matched Controls

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2014
Accumulating evidence indicates that psychotherapy participants show increased physiological responsiveness to stress. The purpose of the present study was to examine differences between individuals participating in outpatient psychotherapy and matched ...

Reactivating a Reactivation Theory of Implicit Memory

open access: yesConsciousness and Cognition, 1996
Implicit and explicit memory tasks are interpreted within a traditional memory theory that distinguishes associations between different classes of memory units (sensory features, logogens, imagines, concepts, context tags). Associations from specific sensory features to logogens are strengthened by perceptual experiences, leading to specific perceptual

Reactivity and Cross-Reactivity in Redox Activation of the Uranyl Ion [PDF]

open access: yes
The properties of the uranyl dication (UO22+) are governed in many respects by its redox chemistry, and functionalizing the strong U–O bonds often requires reduction from U(VI) to U(V) with solution-phase multicomponent reaction chemistry that involves ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Reactivity-Controlled Preparation of Ultralarge Graphene Oxide by Chemical Expansion of Graphite [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The production of ultralarge graphene oxide (ULGO) is hindered by sluggish diffusion process of the oxidizing agents into graphite layers, as well as sheet fracture resulting from inhomogeneous oxidation.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

A New Model of Chemical Dissolution of Solids: an Analysis of the Mechanism of Dissolution of Monodispersed Materials

open access: yesChemistry Journal of Moldova: General, Industrial and Ecological Chemistry, 2021
On the basis of a new model of chemical dissolution, an analysis of the kinetic parameters obtained using the modified V.V. Dolivo-Dobrovolsky equation was carried out.

The roles of learning ability and stress reactivity in coping behaviour change: a CBT-based brief stress-management intervention [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
CBT is well established as an effective treatment for a range of mental health problems and its use as a treatment for stress-related problems in occupational settings is also well evidenced; however, not every recipient of CBT necessarily shows ...

First- and second-order reactivity to verbal protocols: An example from a study on strategy variability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Verbal reports are a common method of data collection in studies of mathematics learning, often in studies with a longitudinal component or those employing microgenetic methods where several observations of problem-solving are made over a short period of
