Safety and Immunogenicity of Meningococcal Groups A and C Polysaccharide Vaccine in Adults 18–60 years of age

open access: yesЭпидемиология и вакцинопрофилактика, 2023
Relevance. In the Russian Federation, despite the low incidence rate in 2020–2021, there are subjects where the incidence rate of meningococcal infection (MI) exceeds the national average by 2–9 times.

In vitro alternative for reactogenicity assessment of outer membrane vesicle based vaccines

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Intrinsic or added immune activating molecules are key for most vaccines to provide desired immunity profiles but may increase systemic reactogenicity. Regulatory agencies require rabbit pyrogen testing (RPT) for demonstration of vaccine reactogenicity ...

Immunogenicity and Reactogenicity of CoronaVac: A Cohort Study

open access: yesCOVID, 2022
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic remained a major public health concern despite a large-scale deployment of vaccines. One of the vaccines is CoronaVac, an inactivated vaccine. The efficacy of the vaccine was estimated at 50.7–83.5% in clinical trials. However, the real-world efficacy often differed.

Neutralizing Antibodies against SARS-CoV-2, Anti-Ad5 Antibodies, and Reactogenicity in Response to Ad5-nCoV (CanSino Biologics) Vaccine in Individuals with and without Prior SARS-CoV-2

open access: yesVaccines, 2021
This is the first study outside of clinical trials (phase I–III) evaluating the ability of the Ad5-nCoV vaccine to generate neutralizing antibodies and the factors associated with optimal or suboptimal response.

Immunopotentiation by Natural Extracts: Mechanisms and Applications in Influenza Vaccine Adjuvant Development. [PDF]

open access: yesFood Sci Nutr
Natural Extracts as Candidate Influenza Vaccine Adjuvants. Seasonal influenza vaccines face limitations due to viral mutations and low efficacy in vulnerable populations. Traditional adjuvants often have safety or immune‐activation constraints, leading to increased interest in natural extracts from plants, marine organisms, and fungi.

Efficacy and Safety of Messenger RNA Vaccines. [PDF]

open access: yesHealth Sci Rep
ABSTRACT Background and Aims The rapid development of mRNA vaccines has revolutionized infectious disease prevention and cancer immunotherapy. While their efficacy is well established, concerns about safety and immunopathological risks persist. This study aims to evaluate the immunogenicity, safety profiles, and design considerations of mRNA vaccines ...

Immunogenic and reactogenic efficacy of Covaxin and Covishield: a comparative review [PDF]

open access: yesImmunologic Research, 2022
SARS-CoV-2 is an RNA virus that was identified for the first time in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. The World Health Organization (WHO) labeled the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak a worldwide pandemic on March 11, 2020, due to its widespread infectivity pattern.

Immunogenicity and reactogenicity of heterologous ChAdOx1 nCoV-19/mRNA vaccination [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Heterologous priming with the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vector vaccine followed by boosting with a messenger RNA vaccine (BNT162b2 or mRNA-1273) is currently recommended in Germany, although data on immunogenicity and reactogenicity are not available.

Rubella Vaccine – How ‘Reactogenic’ is it?

open access: yesJournal of International Medical Research, 1986
Girls (231) aged 11—13 years were allocated at random to receive one of two RA27/3 rubella vaccines. A high incidence of minor and self-limiting side-effects were found by intensive follow-up. No difference in reactogenicity could be found between vaccines from the Institut Merieux and Wellcome.
