Multicolor combinatorial probe coding for real-time PCR. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
The target volume of multiplex real-time PCR assays is limited by the number of fluorescent dyes available and the number of fluorescence acquisition channels present in the PCR instrument.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

A simple and cost-effective real-time PCR method using diluted and heat-treated whole blood lysate

open access: yesScientific Reports
Although DNA extraction is a crucial step before polymerase chain reaction (PCR), attempts to perform PCR without DNA isolation have been ongoing since the 1990s.

Development and verification of PCR based assay to dectect and quantify garden pea lec gene

open access: yesCzech Journal of Food Sciences, 2012
Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) entering the food chain have became its part, which is necessary to monitor. GMO analyses are used as a control mechanism according to valid acquis communautaire for traceability and labeling of GMOs.

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.
