Real‐Time Polymerase Chain Reaction
ChemBioChem, 2003AbstractReal‐time PCR is the state‐of‐the‐art technique to quantify nucleic acids for mutation detection, genotyping and chimerism analysis. Since its development in the 1990s, many different assay formats have been developed and the number of real‐time PCR machines of different design is continuously increasing.

The real-time polymerase chain reaction
Molecular Aspects of Medicine, 2006The scientific, medical, and diagnostic communities have been presented the most powerful tool for quantitative nucleic acids analysis: real-time PCR [Bustin, S.A., 2004. A-Z of Quantitative PCR. IUL Press, San Diego, CA]. This new technique is a refinement of the original Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) developed by Kary Mullis and coworkers in the ...

Electrochemical Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2006In this work, we report the first electrochemistry-based real-time polymerase chain reaction technique for sequence-specific nucleic acid detection. This new technique builds upon the advantages of the well-established fluorescence-based counterpart, such as short assay time (simultaneous target DNA amplification and detection).

Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction Detection Methods
Recent Patents on DNA & Gene Sequences, 2008Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a quickly developing technology that has built upon the classic end-point PCR detection methods. In this article, we will review recent patents related to various chemistries used for nucleic acid detection during real-time PCR amplification.

Detection of Castor Contamination by Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2006Due to the potential for intentional contamination of food with crude preparations containing ricin, a real-time PCR method was developed for the detection of castor plant material in ground beef. One primer pair was identified and confirmed to be castor-specific and efficient for amplification of ricin in DNA extracts from castor or beef matrices.

Robust regression methods for real-time polymerase chain reaction
Analytical Biochemistry, 2015Current real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) data analysis methods implement linear least squares regression methods for primer efficiency estimation based on standard curve dilution series. This method is sensitive to outliers that distort the outcome and are often ignored or removed by the end user.

The Use of Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction in Thoracic Malignancies
Thoracic Surgery Clinics, 2006Recent progress in the molecular analysis of NSCLC tumors and lymph node status will likely translate into a clearer understanding of the variables and predictors of tumor recurrence. This understanding may lead to more appropriate therapeutic decisions both in the operating room and in the clinic.
