Loss of STARD7 Triggers Metabolic Reprogramming and Cell Cycle Arrest in Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Breast cancer cells undergo metabolic and transcriptomic reprogramming to support aberrant cell proliferation. Their mitochondria rely on the transfer of phosphatidylcholine from the endoplasmic reticulum to their membranes by STARD7, a candidate upregulated in breast cancer, to be functional.

Identification and Drug Screening of Single Cells from Human Tumors on Semiconductor Chip for Cancer Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study innovatively integrates single‐cell electric impedance identification and drug screening on a semiconductor chip, addressing tumor heterogeneity limitations. The system achieves label‐free cancer cell recognition while concurrently evaluating drug efficacy on cancer cells and toxicity on noncancerous cells.

LIMK1 as a Novel Kinase of β‐Catenin Promotes Esophageal Cancer Metastasis by Cooperating With CDK5

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Li et al. innovatively map the kinase‐substrate network in esophageal cancer metastasis. Their study demonstrates that LIM domain kinase 1 (LIMK1) and Cyclin‐dependent kinase 5 (CDK5) synergistically increase the phosphorylation of β‐catenin, thereby activating the Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway to promote esophageal cancer metastasis.

Blood Biomarker‐Based Predictive Indicator for Liver Metastasis in Alpha‐Fetoprotein‐Producing Gastric Cancer and Multi‐Omics Tumor Microenvironment Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Alpha‐fetoprotein‐producing gastric cancer (AFPGC), a rare and aggressive subtype of gastric cancer, presents a high risk of liver metastasis. This study introduces the ANLiM score, a blood biomarker‐based predictive indicator for assessing liver metastasis and immunotherapy response.
