Exploring the Relationship Between Adipocytokines and Endometrial Cancer: Identifying Correlations With Clinico‐Pathological Prognostic Factors

open access: yesCancer Medicine
Background Endometrial cancer, a malignancy linked with obesity, may be influenced by adipocytokines signalling due to chronic inflammation. This study explores the molecular expression patterns of adiponectin, leptin, interleukin6 (IL6), tumor necrosis ...

Adiponectin Receptor Expression in Human Malignant Tissues

open access: yesHormones and Cancer, 2010
Adiponectin has been proposed to be a mediator of obesity-associated malignancies and to have direct antineoplastic effects acting via adiponectin receptors AdipoR1 and AdipoR2. We describe herein the expression of AdipoR1 and AdipoR2 in several cancers not previously studied.

The Role of Serum Uric Acid in the Prediction of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: Tehran Lipid and Glucose Study

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
This study aimed to examine the association between serum uric acid and incident type 2 diabetes mellitus. The study included 5719 subjects (2588 men) aged ≥ 30 years without T2DM at baseline. Multivariate Cox proportional hazard analyses were applied using SUA as continuous and categorical variables. Subjects followed up during a median follow‐up of 8.

Time‐Restricted Eating on Appetite and Inflammation in Adults With Obesity and Prediabetes: A Randomized Feeding Study

open access: yesObesity, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Time‐restricted eating (TRE) has gained attention for weight loss and cardiometabolic health improvement. The Time‐Restricted Intake of Meals (TRIM) study was a 12‐week randomized isocaloric and eucaloric feeding trial comparing 10‐h TRE to a 16‐h usual eating pattern (UEP) in adults with obesity and either prediabetes or diet ...

Evidence map and gap analysis of metabolic change in pediatric growth hormone deficiency treated with growth hormone

open access: yesPediatric Investigation, EarlyView.
This evidence map of 63 studies (n = 6158) showed growth hormone therapy in children with growth hormone deficiency has neutral glucose effects, mixed lipid outcomes, potential benefits for bone mineral density, bone mineral content, and parathyroid hormone, but generally no impact on thyroid function, body composition, or body mass index.
