Targeting β2‐Adrenergic Receptor Stability With Lycorine Reveals a Host‐Directed Pathway for Antiviral Defense Against Poxviruses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chronic stress drives autophagy‐mediated β2‐AR degradation, impairing antiviral immunity and promoting poxvirus lethality. Lycorine directly stabilizes β2‐AR to restore host defense, suppress excessive inflammation and improve survival. ABSTRACT Psychological stress is a pervasive yet poorly understood modulator of infectious disease outcomes. Here, we

Molecular characterization of the mouse beta 3‐adrenergic receptor: relationship with the atypical receptor of adipocytes. [PDF]

open access: yesThe EMBO Journal, 1991
The gene encoding the murine beta 3-adrenergic receptor (beta 3AR) has been isolated. It translates into a polypeptide of 388 amino acid residues which shows 82% overall homology with the human beta 3AR. In Southern blot experiments, a probe derived from the murine beta 3AR gene hybridizes to a unique restriction fragment in the murine and human ...

Beta-adrenergic receptors on canine coronary collateral vessels: characterization and function

open access: yes, 1989
The present studies were performed to examine the role of beta-adrenergic receptors in modulating smooth muscle tone in mature coronary collaterals.

The Adipose‐Sympathetic Nerve Crosstalk: FSTL1 as an Adipocyte‐Derived Neurotrophic Factor for WAT Browning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
As a novel adipose‐derived neurotrophic factor, Follistatin‐like 1 is endocytosed by sympathetic neurons primarily via tropomyosin‐related kinase B. This process promotes sympathetic innervation in adipose tissue and norepinephrine release, leading to white adipose tissue browning, enhanced thermogenesis, and anti‐obesity effects in mice.

Amiloride interacts with renal alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptors

open access: yes, 1987
We have used radioligand binding techniques to assess whether amiloride and certain analogues of amiloride (ethylisopropyl amiloride and benzamil) can bind to adrenergic receptors in the kidney. We found that amiloride could compete for [3H]rauwolscine (

Spatiotemporal Multi‐Omic Mapping Reveals Liver‐Muscle Metabolic Crosstalk in Cancer Cachexia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The interactive CCAtlas platform delineates cross‐species, spatiotemporal, and sex‐specific molecular dynamics and metabolic rewiring across organs during cancer cachexia. Hepatic Gamt downregulation curtails hepatic creatine synthesis to trigger systemic creatine insufficiency and consequent skeletal muscle atrophy in LLC tumour‐bearing mice ...

Cardiac beta-receptors in experimental Chagas' disease Receptores beta cardíacos na doença de Chagas experimental

open access: yesRevista do Instituto de Medicina Tropical de São Paulo, 1995
Experimental Chagas' disease (45 to 90 days post-infection) showed serious cardiac alterations in the contractility and in the pharmacological response to beta adrenergic receptors in normal and T. cruzi infected mice (post-acute phase).

Synthesis, Pharmacological Evaluation, and Molecular Modeling of Lappaconitine–1,5-Benzodiazepine Hybrids

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
Diterpenoid alkaloids, originating from the amination of natural tetracyclic diterpenes, have long interested scientists due to their medicinal uses and infamous toxicity which has limited the clinical application of the native compound.

Characterization of beta-adrenergic receptors in cultured bovine tracheal gland cells

open access: yes, 1989
We characterized the beta-adrenergic receptors that mediate secretory responses to isoproterenol in cultured bovine tracheal submucosal gland cells. Previous studies have shown that these cells have morphological and biochemical features characteristic ...
