A Study of Skeletal Stem Cell Dynamics and Its Potential Applications in the Design of a Titanium Implant for Senile Osteoporosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Senescent mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) drive age‐related osteoporosis (A‐OP) via adipogenic bias. Resveratrol, selected from transcriptome‐identified core genes, is delivered locally using GelMA‐chitosan hydrogel‐functionalised titanium implants. In A‐OP microenvironments, the hydrogel enables the sustained release of resveratrol, which reverses ...

Differential effects of interferon-γ on metabolism of lipoprotein immune complexes mediated by specific human macrophage Fcγ receptors

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2000
: The objectives were to determine whether there are differences in the mechanisms of lipoprotein metabolism associated with different FcγRs and how metabolism associated with FcγRs compares to that mediated by scavenger receptors (SRA).

Artificial Internalizing Receptors for Targeted Degradation of Extracellular Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Small organic molecules that are anchored into the lipid bilayer of a mammalian cell and have an exofacial recognition ligand can act as artificial internalizing receptors. These receptors are an efficacious tool to selectively capture and internalize cognate antibodies from the extracellular environment in a protein‐specific manner.

Harnessing the Biological Responses Induced by Nanomaterials for Enhanced Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
Nanomaterial (NM)‐induced toxicity can be strategically repurposed for cancer therapy. This review summarizes the mechanism by which NMs selectively activate specific cellular processes to regulate cell fate independently. We also discussed how NMs‐induced biological responses can be leveraged as therapeutic strategies for cancer treatment.

A Multifunctional Probe for Visualization of the Nanoscale Distribution of Cholesterol in Cells by Expansion Microscopy

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
We develop an azido‐ and amino‐functionalized cholesterol probe that can be efficiently fixed and used for expansion microscopy (ExM). This cholesterol probe enables nanoscale tracking of cholesterol distribution dynamics in the endocytic pathway. Combining 10‐fold robust ExM and structured illumination microscopy allows us to resolve cholesterol ...

Spatiotemporal Super‐Resolution Imaging of Lipid Metabolism Dynamics in Physiological/Pathological Conditions

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A novel polarity‐sensitive fluorescent probe was developed for the selective targeting of lipid droplets, enabling precise visualization and quantification of lipid metabolism disorders using an integrated STED‐FLIM platform. This probe allows accurate monitoring of lipid metabolism in cellular and pathological contexts, such as atherosclerosis ...

A hepatoprotective experiment on taro vegetable (Colocasia esculenta (L.) Schott) flower employing animal models by mitigating oxidative stress

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
The antioxidant efficacy of Colocasia esculenta flower’s methanolic extract was assessed using 2,2′‐azino‐bis‐(3‐ethylbenzothiazoline‐6‐sulfonic) (ABTS) and 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) scavenging assay. The hepatoprotective effect was investigated by assessing liver injury indicators (amino transferase [ALT], aspartate amino transferase [AST],
