Role of RAP in the Biogenesis of Lipoprotein Receptors

The LDL receptor gene family is composed of several endocytic receptors that share structural homology and function in cellular uptake of various ligands including lipoprotein particles. The complex structure of these lipoprotein receptors is highlighted by the presence of clusters of cysteine-rich ligand-binding repeats.

An Agrin–YAP/TAZ Rigidity Sensing Module Drives EGFR‐Addicted Lung Tumorigenesis

The study identifies agrin‐EGFR mechanotransduction as a critical driver of lung adenocarcinoma which enhances EGFR signaling through an integrin‐FAK‐actomyosin dependent positive feedback on YAP/TAZ ‐TEAD in response to matrix stiffness. Targeting this oncogenic loop through combinatorial treatments inhibits lung cancer due to agrin impairment.

Asprosin‐FABP5 Interaction Modulates Mitochondrial Fatty Acid Oxidation through PPARα Contributing to MASLD Development

Aided by FABP5, abnormally elevated asprosin in hepatocytes enters the nucleus, targets and inhibits PPARα binding to the CPT1A promoter, thereby suppressing FAO. Circulating asprosin exacerbates insulin resistance, collectively driving MASLD progression.
